Phil has practiced as a lawyer for over forty years. For fifteen years he was a partner of Coady Dwyer & Associates and since then has been the principal of Dwyer & Co.

In the seventies he played a seminal role in the establishment of the Australian contemporary music industry. A necessary prerequisite of its development was the availability of independent Australian commercial legal advisers. Phil identified and filled that need.
